Dr. Latresia Wilson is the Vice President of the Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association-Florida Chapter, as well as an emergency room physician who resides in the state of Florida. A graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Florida with degrees in Nuclear Engineering, including a PhD.
Dr. Wilson attended the University of California-Irvine for her medical degree and completed residency at the University of Florida-Jacksonville.
In addition to being an ER physician, she is an all-natural beef farmer and has interests in several small businesses. This passion for agriculture is based on many years working the family farm prior to college and was recently elected by the Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, to serve on the Advisory Committee on Biotechnology & 21st Century Agriculture (AC21).
As Vice President of the Black Farmers Association of Florida, Dr Wilson led an effort in which the Florida legislature awarded a provisional license to the association to grow medical cannabis in Florida.
