Scott is an operational startup project leader and operations manager with practical engineering discipline and an entrepreneurial drive. His cannabis experience covers every operational aspect of the industry including cultivation, MIPs, and dispensaries across Colorado, Illinois, and Nevada. Having toured 35 commercial cannabis cultivation and production facilities, he gained a broad understanding of the current state of the art.
With a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Project Management Professional certificate, Scott is able to develop creative solutions, communicate them to everyone, then organize and get things done. He leads teams with honesty, effective communication, emotional intelligence, sense of humor, relentless optimism and encouragement.
Prior to his cannabis career, Scott worked for twelve years in roles including design engineer, engineering manager, and project manager on military base security and automation systems. He led multidisciplinary departments that included software, network, electrical, electronics, mechanical, and field engineers to solve complex security challenges. Some of Scott’s notable projects include securing 27-miles of the Arizona/Mexico border with ground-based radars and long-range video imagers; campus-wide security system and infrastructure upgrades at Cherry Point, NC and Moron, Spain; and dual-layer perimeter security systems with video coverage at multiple USMC flightlines and communication satellite compounds.
